News Topical, Digital Desk : Another case of negligence has come to light in Borwada , a subdivision of the Sayla district in Rajasthan's Jalore district . A driver risked his life trying to navigate a culvert on the Jawai River. Due to the strong current, the vehicle became stuck on the culvert. Six passengers were in the vehicle at the time. The sudden entanglement threatened the lives of the passengers, but the alertness of villagers prevented a major tragedy.
According to reports, the Tavera vehicle was carrying passengers from Raniwada Kamba . Ignoring the current, the driver attempted to cross the river bank. Due to the water pressure and slippery terrain, the vehicle became stuck in the middle. Seeing the situation worsen, villagers rushed to the scene and rescued the six trapped passengers. The vehicle was then pulled out of the bank using a JCB and released.
The lives of a large number of passengers were in danger.
Villagers said that despite the administration and police constantly urging people to be cautious while crossing rivers and streams, drivers continue to ignore the rules and act recklessly. They said such incidents could lead to a major accident. It's worth noting that just two days ago, a bus plunged into the Tura River due to the driver's negligence, endangering the lives of a large number of passengers.
Action should be taken against negligent drivers
Local residents have demanded that the administration take more stringent measures to prevent such incidents, specifically increasing surveillance on river and stream crossings and taking action against reckless drivers to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
