
News Topical, Digital Desk : Ban On Firecrackers In Jalore: In view of national security, the district administration has taken a big step in Jalore district of Rajasthan and has imposed a two-month ban on fireworks, firecrackers and drone operations. District Magistrate Dr. Pradeep K. Gawande has implemented this order by issuing a prohibitory order under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Defense Code, 2023, which will remain in force from May 9 to July 8, 2025.
In the order issued, the District Magistrate clarified that this decision had become necessary keeping in mind the current circumstances of the country and national security. The use of equipment like fireworks, crackers and drones in the district area can lead to any untoward incident, hence a complete ban has been imposed on them.
Government services will be exempted.
The prohibition will be applicable to the general public in the district area, but the army, police, armed forces, home guards and other government agencies maintaining law and order have been exempted from this ban.
Special instructions on drone operation
If drone operation is required in religious, cultural or social events, the organizers can obtain prior permission from the concerned police station officer. In such a situation, drone flying will be allowed only up to a maximum height of 20 feet. Flying a drone without permission will be considered a violation of the law.
The District Magistrate said that this order was necessary to be implemented with immediate effect in the present circumstances, so it has been passed unilaterally under Section 163 (2) of the Indian Civil Defense Code. It was not possible to serve the order personally. He also warned that those who disobey or violate this order will be prosecuted under Section 223 of the Indian Penal Code, which will be a punishable offense.
Administration appeals to citizens for cooperation
Dr. Gawande has appealed to the citizens of the district to understand the seriousness of this restrictive order and follow it completely and maintain cooperation with the administration. He said that this step has been taken with the aim of maintaining security and peace in the district. After this order, burning fireworks, crackers or flying drones without permission will be prohibited in any part of the district and strict action will be taken against those who violate it.
