'It doesn't matter, I have other work to do', Tharoor hits back at BJP's 'super spokesperson' statement

News Topical, Digital Desk : In response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, the Indian Army carried out Operation Sindoor in Pakistan and POK and during this, more than 100 terrorists were eliminated by destroying the terrorist hideouts.

After this, India continued to tighten the screws on Pakistan and the Indian government sent seven teams of the Indian delegation to visit different countries around the world, where the leaders included in the all-party delegation are presenting India's side and exposing Pakistan.

Congress leader had targeted Tharoor

In this connection, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, who is leading a delegation, praised the surgical strike carried out by India in Panama in 2016, then the Balakot air strike after the Pulwama attack in 2019 and now Operation Sindoor.

After this, Congress leader Udit Raj started targeting Tharoor and said that the previous UPA government had carried out surgical strikes on Pakistan 6 times.

Shashi Tharoor's answer

Shashi Tharoor has responded to these comments of Udit Raj and said bluntly that he has very important work to do and it does not matter to him.

Tharoor posted on X and wrote that he had not mentioned any war in his statement but had only spoken about India's response to terrorist attacks.

'They present my words in a distorted manner'

He also said that critics twist his words. It doesn't matter to him because he has more important work to do.

He wrote, “After a long and successful day in Panama I have to leave here at midnight and depart for Bogota, Colombia in six hours. So I don't really have time for this. Yet the outrage about my alleged ignorance of Indian valour across the LoC is, I must say, sickening.”

What explanation did Tharoor give?

• I was obviously only talking about retaliation for terrorist attacks, not past wars.
• My comments referred to the several attacks in recent years and India's response to these attacks.
• As always, critics and trolls are welcome to distort my thoughts and words as they see fit. I have more important work to do.
