News Topical, Digital Desk : The war between Israel and Iran seems to be coming to an end. US President Donald Trump has once again claimed that a ceasefire has been implemented between Israel and Iran. Along with this, Trump has appealed for peace between the two countries.
This ceasefire is happening after Iran fired missiles on the US base in Qatar yesterday. Although Trump had announced the ceasefire a few hours ago, despite this Iran fired missiles on Israel.
Iran's Foreign Minister had said regarding the ceasefire that no such deal has been made. At present, there has been no response from Iran after Trump's latest statement.
What was said earlier by Iran?
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi wrote on the social media platform X. He wrote, "There is no agreement yet on a ceasefire or a halt to military actions. However, if the Israeli regime stops its illegal attack against the Iranian people by 4 am, we do not intend to continue retaliation after that."
After this, in another tweet, the Iranian Foreign Minister indicated that a ceasefire had been done, but did not say it in clear words nor did he officially announce it. After this, Iran also started attacking Israel.
He wrote, "The military operations of our powerful military forces, which were meant to punish Israel for its attack, continued until the last moment, i.e. until 4 am in the morning. Along with all Iranians, I thank our brave army, which is ready to protect its beloved country till the last drop of its blood and which responded to every attack of the enemy till the last moment."
