
News Topical, Digital Desk : Some unidentified vessels are attempting to join a convoy of 50 ships belonging to European NGOs carrying food supplies to Gaza. Meanwhile, Israeli warships have laid siege to the sea to prevent the convoy from reaching near Gaza.

Communications to the convoy ships have also reportedly been disrupted. The convoy, carrying food supplies from NGOs to Gaza, includes parliamentarians from several countries, members of human rights organizations, and several prominent figures.
Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg is also among them. They have rejected the suggestion to distribute relief supplies through churches.
Tension over Israeli proposal
They are also not accepting Israel's proposal that the relief material should be unloaded at an Israeli port and from there the Israeli army will transport it to Gaza.
Israel has already stated that the war in Gaza is ongoing and no one will be allowed to enter. It has not been confirmed whether the Italian and Spanish warships deployed to protect the convoy are now with it.
