News Topical, Digital Desk : The conflict between Israel and Iran is deepening. Meanwhile, the Israeli army killed Iranian Major General Ali Shadmani in an airstrike. He had taken charge just four days ago.
Shadmani was appointed in place of Major General Ghulam Ali Rashid, who was killed by the Israeli army in the initial attacks against Iran on Friday.
Work completed on the fourth day of assuming office
According to the Times of Israel report, Major General Ali Shadmani led the Khatam-al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, known as Iran's Military Emergency Command, for about four days. Shadmani replaced Major General Gholam Ali Rashid, who was killed in Israel's initial attacks against Iran on Friday.
Shadmani was close to Khamenei
The Israeli Defense Force (IDF) says Major General Shadmani was Iran's most senior military commander and war chief. He was considered the closest military figure to Iran's supreme leader Ali Khamenei. The IDF says, "Shadmani commanded both the Revolutionary Guards and the Iranian Armed Forces."
The IDF says Shadmani previously served as deputy of the Khatam-al-Anbiya headquarters and chief of operations in Iran’s armed forces.
