News Topical, Digital Desk : Ahead of the meeting between India and the US on trade issues in New Delhi, White House trade advisor Peter Navarro has said that India is coming to the negotiating table.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted a very cordial, nice and constructive tweet and President Trump responded to it. Let's see how it works out," he said in an interview to CNBC on Sunday.

'Working on business hurdles'

Navarro said the two countries are still negotiating the trade issue and working on trade barriers. "But in practice we know that its tariffs on trade are the highest of any major country. Its non-tariff barriers are very high."

What did Navarro say on India's alliance with China?

He further said, we had to deal with it, just like we are dealing with every other country that does this. After this Navarro criticized India for its alliance with Russia and China.
