News Topical, Digital Desk : As part of its ongoing campaign against illegal activities, the Commissionerate Police conducted a significant operation in the Nadesar (Ghosabad) area. In this operation, 256 commercial gas cylinders were recovered from a house near the closed Sudha petrol pump. These included 200 filled and 56 empty cylinders.
Upon receiving information about this matter, the District Supply Department team immediately launched an investigation. During the investigation, it became clear that the cylinders were stored illegally, which constitutes a crime under the Essential Commodities Act. Such activities not only violate the law but also pose a threat to the safety of the general public.
Following the District Magistrate's permission, Supply Inspector Raghavan Tripathi filed a complaint in this matter. Based on this, a case has been registered against Karan Singh, owner of Sabbarwal Bharat Gas Agency, Adalhat Mirzapur, and Manish Kumar Singh, manager of the agency. Police have handed over the recovered cylinders to BPCL sales officer Samarth Gupta. A case has been registered at the police station under Crime No. 162/26, Section 3/7 of the Essential Commodities Act, and further investigation is underway.
This action makes it clear that the Commissionerate Police is strict against illegal activities and is committed to taking prompt action in such cases. Illegal storage of gas cylinders is not only a violation of the law but also a serious threat to the general public. Taking strict action in such cases sends a message that the administration will not tolerate such activities.
