News Topical, Digital Desk : During the Iran-Israel war, Trump had once said that he knew where Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was hiding. Trump had claimed to know his whereabouts. Now, US President Donald Trump said on Friday that he had saved Iran's Ayatollah Ali Khamenei from assassination.

Trump threatens Iran

Accusing the supreme leader of ordering more bombings if the country tried to build nuclear weapons, Trump in a post on his Truth social platform attacked Tehran for claiming to win a war with Israel and said he was blocking work on potential sanctions relief.

Trump said the US would bomb Iran again without question if it remained capable of enriching nuclear weapons-grade uranium even after the US attacks.

Trump said- I knew where Khamenei was hiding

"I knew exactly where he was holed up, and I was not going to let Israel or the greatest and most powerful American armed forces in the world end his life. I saved him from a very ugly and humiliating death, and he doesn't have to say "Thank you, President Trump!"" Trump posted.

Trump said he had been working in recent days on the possibility of lifting sanctions against Iran, one of Tehran's long-standing demands. But no, instead I got statements of anger, hatred and disgust, and I immediately abandoned sanctions relief and everything else. Trump encouraged Iran to return to the negotiating table.
