News Topical, Digital Desk : A shocking incident has emerged from Agra, Uttar Pradesh. Vinod, a resident of Tughlakabad, Delhi, and his friend, Manoj, posing as MLAs from Agra, were staying in a hotel in the Sadar police station area for 18 days without paying. They were intimidating businessmen with a car marked "MP." Based on a complaint from the hotel owner, police arrested them on Saturday.
Police officials stated that the two men were threatening local hotels and businesses, and that their interrogation is ongoing. They stated that strict action will be taken.
What is the whole matter?
According to the police, Vinod, who claimed to be an Agra MLA, booked a room at a hotel in Sadar Kotwali on October 28th. For 18 days, he didn't pay the hotel bill and even ordered food from outside restaurants. In a poster, he described himself as a former councillor of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, though he was nothing of the sort.
Not only this, the accused Vinod reached the Eklavya Sports Stadium and threatened the staff, saying, "I am an MLA, please make VIP arrangements for me. I will play cricket from tomorrow." A video of him claiming to be an MLA has also gone viral.
Troubled, the hotel owner complained
Hotel owner Pawan said the accused had occupied the hotel for 18 days. Whenever he asked for the room rent and food bill, he said he was staying until December 1st for official work. He would pay later. When he felt it was too much, he complained.
Showed arrogance to the police
After the complaint, when the police arrived for investigation, the accused tried to intimidate them. ACP Imran stated that both accused are from Delhi. Neither is a Member of Parliament or MLA. A case will be filed against them and appropriate action will be taken. The investigation is currently ongoing.
