News Topical, Digital Desk : The Greater Noida Additional District and Sessions Judge's court heard the case in the Bishara village murder case on Friday (December 12). Following orders from the government and the Joint Director of Prosecution, the hearing was scheduled to be held on a petition filed by the Assistant District Government Advocate. Without hearing the prosecution and victim advocates, the court adjourned the hearing and set the next date for December 18. CPI(M) leader Brinda Karat, who arrived before the court proceedings, questioned the government's intention to withdraw the case.

Hearing held in fast track court

The fast-track court heard the government's petition to withdraw the Bisahada case. The government filed a petition seeking permission to issue an order withdrawing the case in order to restore social harmony.

The Joint Director of Prosecutions, Gautam Buddha Nagar, issued a letter on December 12, 2025, directing the District Government Advocate to take action in this regard. Yusuf Saifi, the victim's lawyer, stated that the next hearing in the case will be held on December 18. The government advocate will present his side on behalf of the prosecution. He also stated that he will represent the victim in the government's application for dismissal.

A huge step towards murder of justice

CPI(M) leader Brinda Karat, who arrived in court during the hearing, said that the UP government has filed an application in the district court to withdraw the case, which, in our view, is a major miscarriage of justice. This is a miscarriage of justice when, in a mob lynching case, testimony has already begun and, in the middle of the hearing, a government files a petition to withdraw the case.

An example for the whole of India

The grounds given by the government in the case challenge the justice system. It would be better to dismantle India's courts and legal framework. This affidavit is not for justice, but rather for their narrow political agenda. The government's desire to withdraw the entire case of mob lynching, a murder, will not save our country's law? We have had relations with the family since 2015, and we will stand firmly with them. He told Akhlaq's family that their stand for justice is an example for the entire country.
