News Topical, Digital Desk : The Gupt Navratri of Magha and Ashadh is the time in which you can know yourself. You can know the deeper layers of spirituality and various dimensions of Shakti i.e. Mother. There is no performance and no perfection in this.
The occasion of Gupt Navratri is not to show the outside world, but to awaken your soul. It is for that sacred feminine energy, which is away from the noise. You must have seen, heard and felt the celebration of Sharadiya and Chaitra Navratri. It is celebrated with great pomp and rituals.
Gupt Navratri is different
But, Gupt Navratri is completely different from this. Most of the sadhaks, tantriks and those people who want to get inner happiness, who want to look into their soul, who want their soul to meet God, who want to achieve self-knowledge and who have curiosity to know self-realization, they do sadhna at this time.
Mantras are chanted in silence without public celebration. Goddess Durga and her forms are worshipped by offering havans at the yagya altar. This is the time to let go of fear, anger, emptiness, confusion and to know yourself as one.
Why are Gupt Navratris sacred?
Gupt Navratri has not been hidden. It has been kept sacred because not all changes are meant to be seen or shown, some changes are meant to be felt. Some changes do not happen in light. For them we need darkness.
There is no need for external worship in Gupt Navratri. There is no need for external show. This is the time for self-purification. It is the time to know yourself and to attain the 10 Mahavidyas.
For this, one needs to chant mantras, do sadhna, meditate and do tapasya in solitude. This is the time for awakening of the soul to know the various dimensions of power in depth.
Gupt Navratri is not for wish fulfillment
Unlike Chaitra and Sharad Navratri, the time of Gupt Navratri is not for fulfilling worldly desires. It is a time for spiritual awakening. In Gupt Navratri, fasting is not done to fulfill any wish or to get any boon or to get any blessing.
During this time, dance, music etc. are not used to show themselves to the public. In Gupt Navratri, there is only you, your breath and that darkness, where you sit in solitude and worship Shakti. Can you see divinity in that darkness?
This is the time to get rid of the sins committed in previous births. This is the time to awaken mental powers. Due to the position of the moon at this time, the soul is inclined to know itself.
