After their demands for the removal of a liquor shop located between Jarela and Binua villages went unheeded for a long time, hundreds of women emerged from their homes armed with sticks and vandalized the liquor shop, setting it on fire. Salespeople working at the shop fled to save their lives.

The demand was going on for a long time, but no hearing took place.

According to reports, the women of the village had been trying to get the liquor shop removed from the village for quite some time. They claimed that the shop was spoiling the atmosphere of the village. But when their demands were not heard, the women united and went to the liquor shop armed with sticks.

Shop set on fire, loss of Rs 15 lakh

The women broke all the bottles inside the liquor shop and then set the shop on fire. The liquor shop owner is estimated to have suffered a loss of approximately 1.5 million rupees in this incident. Salesman Banwarilal said that a large number of women from Jarela village arrived at the shop armed with sticks and began vandalizing it. He tried to reason with the women, but they refused to listen and later set the shop on fire.

Police arrived, fire brigade extinguished the fire

Upon receiving the information, police from the Roopwas police station arrived at the scene and brought fire engines under control. Station Officer Vinod Meena stated that a fire was reported at a liquor warehouse, and a team was sent to the scene. Action will be taken as per the law after receiving the complaint. The police have registered a case and are currently investigating.
