News Topical, Digital Desk : A constable has been suspended for tearing a poster of Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar in the Gola police station area. Taking the matter seriously, SSP Dr. Kaustubh has ordered immediate action and a departmental inquiry.

The incident occurred on the night of April 8. Constable Awadhesh Kumar Yadav, posted at the Gola police station, was on night patrol. It is alleged that during this time, he tore down a poster of Ambedkar posted in a public place.

The incident sparked a stir within the police department. The SSP ordered the Southern Superintendent of Police to investigate the matter, and the allegations were found to be prima facie true. The constable involved was subsequently suspended.

According to the SSP, a departmental inquiry has also been initiated into the matter. Any inappropriate behavior in sensitive cases will not be tolerated, and strict action will be ensured against those found guilty.
