News Topical, Digital Desk : The AIIMS OPD will be closed on April 14th, Ambedkar Jayanti. The AIIMS administration has started informing patients about this. A notice regarding the holiday has also been posted in the OPD hall.

Patients who booked a slot to see a doctor in the OPD on Tuesday will face a problem. They will now have to rebook their OPD appointments on a different day to see the doctor. The holiday on April 14th was announced just two days ago.

Due to lack of prior information about the holiday, many patients have booked online. Under the online system, patients must arrive at the AIIMS prescription counter within half an hour of the scheduled time. A prescription is generated by simply showing the booking number. This eliminates the need for patients to enter their full information at the counter.
