News Topical,Digital Desk : Gopalganj News: In view of the increasing crime in Gopalganj, Bihar, the police has started taking action. Four miscreants fell prey to police bullets in two separate encounters late on Monday (April 28). One of the accused is involved in a case of extortion while three miscreants are accused of gang rape. The first encounter took place in Savreji village of Mirganj police station area while the second took place in Chanwar area of ​​Kuchaykot police station area.

A girl from UP was gang-raped

It is said that a girl who had come for treatment from UP was gang-raped at Sasamusa station on Monday morning. In this case, one of the accused Abhishek Kumar was arrested by the police. On his information, the police went to catch the absconding accused. During this, the accused opened fire on the police in Chanwar area.

In the retaliatory action of the police, three accused of gang rape Kariman Kumar, Abhishek Kumar and Sonu Kumar were shot in the leg. Abhishek was already arrested, but during the raid he snatched the weapon and started running away, then the police shot him. 

The miscreants injured by the bullets were brought to Sadar Hospital for treatment. A country-made pistol, revolver and cartridges have also been recovered from the spot. The injured criminals are being treated at Sadar Hospital. SDPO Pranjal Tripathi said that strict action will be taken against all the criminals.

The absconding miscreant in the extortion case was also injured

The second case is related to extortion. Five lakhs were demanded as extortion money from Praveen Soni, owner of Mangalam Jewelers of Mirganj. Police received information on Monday night that criminals have come to collect the first installment of one lakh as extortion money. On this basis, a siege was laid. In the encounter, a criminal Ayush Kumar got shot in the leg. His other companions escaped. Ayush is the son of Raju Verma, a resident of Savreji village of Mirganj. The injured has been admitted to Sadar Hospital for treatment.
