News Topical, Digital Desk : Lucknow News: There is good news for the farmers and cattle rearers of Uttar Pradesh. The state government has taken a big decision to strengthen the dairy industry and increase the income of farmers. An important agreement has been signed between the UP government and the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Under this, the operation of four big dairy and animal feed plants of the state will now be the responsibility of NDDB.

Under this agreement, NDDB will run three dairy plants in Kanpur, Gorakhpur and Kannauj and the cattle feed manufacturing plant in Ambedkar Nagar. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath called it a revolutionary step in the dairy sector. He said that by running these units, farmers will get direct benefit without any additional government expenditure. Along with this, youth will also get employment.

CM praised the participation of women
CM Yogi said that the dairy sector is the backbone of the rural economy of the state. If we grow it in a scientific and systematic way, then UP can make its mark not only in the country but also in the world. He also praised the participation of women dairy producers and said that the role of women in this sector is constantly increasing.

On this occasion, NDDB Chairman Meenesh Shah said that these plants in UP will be established as profitable models in the future. We will work with transparency and technical efficiency. The Kanpur dairy plant has been built at a cost of 160.84 crores which can process 4 lakh liters of milk daily. The plants built in Gorakhpur and Kannauj have been built at a cost of 61.80 crores and 88.05 crores respectively, whose capacity is 1 lakh liters per day each.

NDDB will give new life
to the animal feed manufacturing unit in Ambedkar Nagar, built at a cost of Rs 18.44 crore, which produces 100 metric tonnes of animal feed daily. The operation of these units was already ready but they were not able to run at full capacity due to lack of buyers and difficulty in operation. Now with the arrival of NDDB, these units will get new life and farmers will get timely payment, quality products and better market.

It is worth noting that India is the world's largest milk producer and Uttar Pradesh is at the forefront in this. But till now, due to lack of technology and management, farmers were not able to get the full benefit of their milk. After this agreement, the milk industry in the state will be strengthened and cattle farmers will get new support. The government has also made it clear that in this model there will be no additional burden on the government treasury and the benefit of revenue will be shared with the farmers. This model will become an example of transparency and profit.
