News Topical, Digital Desk : The wait for the inauguration of the Ganga Expressway is now over. The administration is on full alert for this historic event, to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 29th.
Preparations are underway day and night to ensure a grand and safe event. Even in the scorching heat, workers are busy setting up tents, leveling the ground, and making other arrangements. Officials are also working around the clock.
A large gathering place is being prepared near the expressway crossing between Bandipur and Kalyanpur villages on the Mallawan-Raghopur Road. Tents and pandals are being erected rapidly, while large parking spaces have been created on both sides. Special lanes have been created for vehicle movement.
Three helipads are being constructed on the expressway for the Prime Minister's arrival, while separate helipads have been prepared below for Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel. Additionally, preparations have been completed for the development of a green garden and the Triveni plantation.
Preparations are being continuously reviewed by District Magistrate Anunay Jha and Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar Meena. On Sunday, the IG of the SPG inspected the site, took stock of security and arrangements, and issued instructions to expedite the work. Initially, 65 hectares of land was designated for the inauguration ceremony, but during the inspection, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed that the scope be expanded.
The gathering and parking area has now been expanded to 144 hectares to accommodate the large number of people attending. Extensive security planning has been undertaken for the event. The entire area has been divided into nine super zones, 19 zones, 61 sectors, and 109 sub-sectors.
Senior officers have been deployed at every level. Five to six thousand police and PAC forces will be deployed for the event. Sixteen parking spaces have been created for VIPs and the general public to ensure smooth traffic flow.

Tight security arrangements have been made for the inauguration ceremony. Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar Meena stated that the area from the venue to the parking lot has been divided into zones. These zones include nine super zones, 19 zones, 61 sectors, and 109 sub-sectors.
The SP said that to monitor these zones, a Superintendent of Police has been deployed in the Super Zone, an Additional Superintendent of Police in the Zone, a Circle Officer in the Sector, and an Inspector in the Sub-Sector. Sixteen parking spaces have been created for VIPs and the public attending the event.
Apart from 9 Superintendents of Police, 19 Additional Superintendents of Police, 61 Circle Officers, 109 Inspectors, about 5 to 6 thousand police personnel and PAC have been deployed.
