News Topical, Digital Desk : A horrific accident occurred on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Dausa district. An Ertiga car was dragged for three to four kilometers after colliding with a truck. Four people were killed in the accident.

The incident occurred in the Papada police station area on the morning of Tuesday, January 27th. The car was badly damaged in the accident. One person was seriously injured and is undergoing treatment at the Dausa District Hospital.

Four people died in Noida

Upon receiving information about the accident on the expressway, Papada police arrived at the scene. The injured were immediately rushed to the hospital. The four deceased have been sent for post-mortem examination.

"Five people were travelling in the car. They were returning to Noida after worshipping at the Mahakal Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh," said Deepak Meena, Deputy Superintendent of Police.

Meena said, "The car, with a Haryana registration number, was traveling from Lalsot to Delhi when it collided with a truck. Due to the high speed, the car got stuck under the rear of the truck and was dragged for several kilometers."

Identification of the deceased

Police said four people in the car – Rahul Gupta (35), Paras Agarwal (35), Prince Gupta (23), and Vikram Singh (30) – died on the spot. A fifth passenger, Brijmohan Gupta, who was riding in the rear seat, suffered minor injuries and was admitted to the Dausa District Hospital.

A police team has launched an investigation and is using CCTV cameras to search for the vehicle. Initial investigations suggest this is a case of overspeeding and negligence.
