News Topical, Digital Desk : Jammu Kashmir News: Thousands of Kashmiri Pandit devotees from Jammu left for the Kheer Bhawani temple in the Kashmir Valley, where the annual fair of Mata ki Bhawani is to be organized on June 3. This event holds special significance for Kashmiri Pandits. This is the first time that such a big religious fair is being held in the valley after  ' Operation Sindoor '.

For Kashmiri Pandits who were displaced from their homes due to terrorism in the 1990s, this pilgrimage has become a symbol of not just religious but also emotional and cultural reconnection.

What is the importance of this religious pilgrimage?
Devotees from all over the country have arrived to visit Mata ki Bhavani. Today (1 June) morning, the group left for Kashmir from Jammu amid tight security. This fair is not just a religious festival, but also an opportunity for the displaced community to connect with their roots. Devotees say that this is an opportunity when they can pay their respects at the feet of their beloved goddess. After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22 , tourism in the valley has been affected, but it is expected that with this pilgrimage the situation will become normal and along with devotion, tourism will also pick up pace again.

Our faith did not waver even after difficult circumstances-
Devotees have expressed confidence that they have full faith not only in Mata Bhavani but also in the security system of India. They say that despite difficult circumstances, the faith of Kashmiri Pandits has not wavered. Their devotion towards Mata is as strong as before. Also, they believe that the government and security forces have made adequate arrangements for the security of the Yatra, so they do not have any kind of fear.

Relief Commissioner Migrants in Jammu said that all the necessary arrangements have been made for this Yatra. He said that extensive arrangements have been made for the stay, food and security of the pilgrims. This time too, tremendous enthusiasm was seen among the devotees for this religious tradition which has been going on for thousands of years. This fair is not only a symbol of religious sentiments but is also an important step towards the cultural identity and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits.
