All gates of Thein Dam opened
Pakistan's Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) said that India has opened all the gates of the Thein Dam on the Ravi River and preparations are also underway to release water from the Madhopur Dam.
Satellite images showed that the Thein Dam was 97% full, increasing the risk of floods. India warned Pakistan of severe flooding in its areas due to heavy rains. Rivers and streams in Jammu and Kashmir are overflowing, roads and bridges have been broken, and many houses have been submerged.
