News Topical, Digital Desk : Covid-19 Cases in Jharkhand: A corona-infected patient died on Tuesday (10 June) in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. The 44-year-old patient was being treated at the Trauma Center of Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Ranchi. It is said that the patient was suffering from many other serious diseases. Doctors tried their best to save him, but he eventually breathed his last. 

This is the first death due to Covid-19 in Jharkhand this year. Three new cases of corona infection have been reported in Ranchi in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of active corona positive cases in the state has increased to seven. 

The first case of Covid was reported in Ranchi in 2025

This year, the first case of Covid in the state was reported in Ranchi on 25 May. After this, the health department had issued an alert in the entire state. After this, more than 15 cases of Covid have been reported in the state in 20 days. Most of these people have recovered after treatment.

Appeal to follow covid protocol

The Hemant Soren government of the state is appealing to the people of the state to follow the Covid protocol as much as possible. People have been advised to get tested and contact doctors if they notice any symptoms related to cold, cough, fever or Covid.

Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari had ordered the deployment of teams of doctors at airports, railway stations and bus stands to examine suspected corona patients, although no such arrangement has been seen so far. 

An important meeting was held last week regarding Kovid

The Health Minister had also held a meeting with departmental officials last week regarding Covid. He had said that the leaves of doctors in government hospitals of the state have been cancelled till further orders. He had given instructions to create isolation wards in all the district hospitals of the state, to improve the supply of oxygen, and to arrange for necessary medicines in stock.
