News Topical, Digital Desk : On the occasion of National Fire Service Day, the Uttar Pradesh Fire and Emergency Service organized various programs along with paying tribute to the martyrs on Tuesday. With these events, the Fire Safety Week, which runs from April 14 to 20, was inaugurated.
Director General of Uttar Pradesh Fire and Emergency Services Sujit Kumar Pandey pinned the flag pin on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Director General of Police Rajiv Krishna.
The Director General paid tribute to the martyred firefighters by laying a wreath at the Martyrs' Memorial at the Hazratganj Fire Station. This day is celebrated in memory of the 66 firefighters who were martyred in the devastating explosion at Mumbai's Victoria Dock on April 14, 1944.
This year's Fire Safety Week campaign focuses on the theme "Safe Schools, Safe Hospitals, and a Fire Safety-Aware Society." Under this initiative, mock drills, training programs, and public awareness activities will be held across the state to educate people about fire prevention and safety measures.
The aim of the fire service is not only to provide immediate relief in case of emergency, but also to educate and educate the public about fire safety so that the damage in case of any accident can be minimized.
