News Topical, Digital Desk : Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai visited the tractor showroom in Devpuri on Friday (September 26) for a surprise inspection during the GST Savings Festival. Sai interacted cordially with farmers and inquired about their reactions to the GST reduction and the savings they had made on their purchases. Chief Minister Sai handed over keys to farmers who had come to the showroom to purchase tractors and harvesters and extended his best wishes.

CM Sai handed over the keys to Ravi Kumar Sahu, a resident of Biroda in Abhanpur, to his new harvester. Expressing his happiness on the occasion, Ravi Sahu said, "I never dreamed I would buy a new harvester. I was thinking of buying a second-hand harvester. I saved a total of ₹2 lakh on the purchase of a new harvester during the GST festival." 

Expressed gratitude to PM for GST reduction

He further said, "Only our sensitive Prime Minister Modi and farmer-friendly Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai can address the concerns of farmers. The Chief Minister himself handed me the keys to my new harvester and spoke with me very cordially. I told him that I have two acres of land, and now with the harvester, I will be able to do more farming in partnership in the village." Ravi thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the GST reduction.

CM handed over the tractor keys to farmer Gyanik Ram Sahu.

Chief Minister Sahi handed over the keys of his new tractor to senior farmer Gyanik Ram Sahu from Abhanpur Kolar. Speaking with the Chief Minister, Mr. Sahu explained that the GST reduction had saved him a total of ₹60,000 on the purchase of the new tractor. He said this savings would enable his family to celebrate the festival even better.

'Tractor sales increase due to GST cut'

Tractor showroom proprietor Ashok Agarwal told the Chief Minister that the reduction in GST is boosting sales and increasing customer enthusiasm. He said, "A tractor that previously cost ₹10.25 lakh is now available for ₹9.75 lakh, saving farmers ₹50,000. Similarly, a tractor that cost ₹7.62 lakh is now available for ₹7.21 lakh, and a tractor that cost ₹6.51 lakh is now available for ₹6.11 lakh. Price reductions and festival discounts are resulting in significant savings for farmers. Harvesters have also become cheaper after the GST rate reduction."

GST cut saves Rs 7,000 on bike purchase

The Chief Minister then visited the Bajaj bike showroom in Sai Devpuri and had a cordial discussion with customers about the GST reduction. He handed over the keys to his new bike to Santoshi Nagar resident M.D. Gulab, who had come to buy the bike. Gulab said that after the GST reduction, he had saved 7,000 rupees on his bike purchase. He said, "I purchased a Bajaj Platina 110cc bike, which originally cost 89,000 rupees, but now I have it for 82,000 rupees."

GST 2.0 has given relief to the general public and farmers – CM

CM Vishnu Dev Sai said, "GST 2.0, implemented under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has provided real relief to the general public, farmers, and consumers. Farmers are directly benefiting from the reduction in the prices of tractors, harvesters, and other agricultural equipment, which will further facilitate their farming and livelihoods."

He also stated that this GST savings festival has eased the burden on consumers' pockets and increased the joy of families during the festive season. This reform is not only boosting economic activity but also creating a new atmosphere of enthusiasm and prosperity in both rural and urban areas.
