
News Topical, Digital Desk : Police have busted a fake training institute operating in the Barrackpore Commissionerate area of North 24 Parganas district, adjacent to Kolkata, under the guise of providing jobs in the army and police. In this connection, police have arrested two individuals accused of running the institute. It is alleged that young job seekers were duped into paying large sums of money for training at this fake institute, promising them jobs in the army or police. The arrested accused are Gopal Das and Nirmal Maiti. According to police sources, the institute was operating in a densely populated area in the Mohanpur police station area under the Barrackpore Commissionerate. Training was provided for seven to ten days. Acting on a tip-off from Barrackpore Police Commissioner Muralidhar Sharma, a police team raided the institute on Thursday night. Both accused were apprehended at the scene and their mobile phones were also confiscated. According to police sources, Nirmal Maiti is a retired soldier who opened the fake institute after retirement. The police is trying to find out how many youths have been cheated in the name of jobs under the guise of this institute.
