New Delhi: The films which made record-breaking earnings and became the king of the box office in the year 2023 have been destroyed by Stree within a month. Stree 2, directed by Amar Kaushik, has defeated Gadar to Pathan in just 27 days. Now Animal has also been eliminated.

Stree 2 is the sequel to the horror-comedy film Stree released in 2018. The film is directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan. 6 years ago the film had crossed the business of 100 crores, but now the movie is moving towards 600 crores. After tremendous business at the box office, this film defeated Shah Rukh Khan's movie Pathan. 

Stree 2 created history on the 27th day

On Monday, Stree 2 had surpassed Pathan and became the third highest grossing film. By the 26th day, the movie had done a business of 555.04 crores. Now on Tuesday, i.e. the 27th day, the Rajkumar Rao starrer movie has also surpassed Animal. According to the early trade of Saccanilk, Stree 2 has done an estimated collection of 2.18 crores on Tuesday (till the time of writing the news).

Woman overpowered animal

The lifetime collection of the Shraddha Kapoor starrer movie has so far reached 557.20 crores, while Animal, released on 1 December 2023, had a lifetime collection of 556.36 crores (according to Bollywood Hungama). Stree 2 has become the second highest grossing film, beating Animal. Now it remains to be seen whether Stree 2 breaks the record of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawaan or not. Jawaan is the highest grossing film with a total collection of 643.87 crores. Stree 2 will have to sweat a lot to cross this number.
