The film's re-release has grossed over Rs 20 crore after its second week. It has now become the highest-grossing re-release in the country, surpassing Thalapathy Vijay's 'Ghilli' which was a huge hit of the 2000s.

The director is planning to re-release the film worldwide, which could see a huge increase in the film's success and collections. 'Tumbbad' grossed Rs 12 crore in its initial run and this time on re-release, it has more than doubled its box office collection, which shows its tremendous success.
