New Delhi. If a sequel or prequel of a hit film is to be made, then the responsibility on its producer-director increases. With these responsibilities, actor and director Rishab Shetty is busy completing Kantara 2, the prequel of his 2022 film Kantara.

The film was shot extensively last year in real locations and studio setups. Now, according to sources associated with the film, the shooting of Kantara 2 is about to be completed. It is being made on a larger scale than Kantara.

Rishabh and the film's team have completed shooting its outdoor portion. Now only fifteen to twenty days of shooting is left, which will be done on the set. The film's producers are spending a lot of time on its visual effects. The post production work of the film has also started after the shooting of the film has been completed.

Hombale Films and Rishabh are now trying to release Kantara 2 in theatres next summer. It is worth mentioning that the Hindi version of the Kannada film Kantara earned Rs 80 crore at the box office.
