New Delhi. Kay Kay Menon and Ranvir Shorey are all set to bring a desi 'Sherlock Holmes' with the detective drama series Shekhar Holmes. On Thursday, Jio Cinema released the trailer giving an interesting glimpse into the world of Shekhar (Kay Kay Menon). Shekhar will try to unravel the web of crime and mystery with his unmatched detective talent.

The series is of 6 episodes

Apart from this, Ranveer Shorey, Rasika Duggal and Kirti Kulhari will also be seen in lead roles in this series. Shekhar Home is an original fictional series inspired by the literary works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle which are in the public domain. This 6-episode series has been produced by BBC Studio Productions India. Rohan Sippy and Srijit Mukherjee are its directors.

What is shown in the trailer?

The story of the series is set in the quiet town of Lonpur in Bengal in the early 1990s. It is a story of a time when people did not know about technology and human intelligence was the only thing that could be trusted. Kay Kay Menon plays the lead role of Shekhar Hom. He looks great in this role. He needs an ally when he meets Jayavrat Sahni i.e. Ranvir Shorey. The two become a pair and set out on a journey to solve the mysteries of Eastern India.

Together they solve many mysteries ranging from murder to blackmail and even supernatural events. The series will release on Jio Cinema on August 14.
