New Delhi: Bollywood veteran actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha has supported the marriage of his daughter Sonakshi Sinha and actor Zaheer Iqbal. In a recent interview, Shatrughan Sinha expressed his views in this regard and said that parents always stand for the happiness of their children. Along with this, he termed any negative perception about his daughter's marriage as baseless.

Shatrughan Sinha supported the interfaith marriage of Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal in a conversation with news agency IANS. He said that his daughter has not done anything wrong.

I will always support my daughter

Shatrughan Sinha said, "This is a matter of marriage, secondly, if the children have got married, then it is not illegal and unconstitutional. They did it with their own will and our blessings. That is why I support it." Shatrughan Sinha expressed pride and happiness over his daughter's choice and further said, "If I am not there, then who will stand with my daughter?" He also said that he and his wife Poonam Sinha were fully involved in celebrating this marriage, which shows that they fully support the marriage. Shatrughan Sinha made it clear that for him the happiness of his children matters first.

Sonakshi-Zaheer is a perfect couple

Praising Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, Shatrughan Sinha called them a perfect couple. He said, "Parents will always stand for the happiness of their children, and I think our children are happy. I call them made for each other, and we are extremely happy for them."
