New Delhi: The claims of sexual exploitation in the Malayalam film industry have shocked everyone. Actresses have made such revelations against famous directors, producers and actors that no one could have even imagined. Actor Siddiqui resigned from the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) after an actress accused him of raping her. Now an FIR has been filed against the actor in this case.
Complaint filed against Siddiqui
An FIR has been filed against the actor at the Museum Police Station in Thiruvananthapuram. The complaint has been lodged through an email sent to the State Police Chief. It is alleged that Siddiqui sexually assaulted actress Revathy Sampath at a Muscat hotel in January 2016.
The actress exposed sexual abuse
The actress disclosed the sexual harassment she faced in the police complaint and said that Siddiqui misbehaved with her. This sexual harassment was disclosed in the Hema Committee report in 2019, after which Siddiqui said that false allegations have been made against him. After this, Revathi came out in public and gave a statement against Siddiqui.
The actress alleged, "I had just completed my Plus Two when he contacted me through social media. I thought it was a fake account, but later I came to know that it was his real account. When the preview show of his film Sukhamaayirikkatte was over, he called me for a discussion at Muscat Hotel. I was 21 years old then. He called me 'Mol' (daughter in Malayalam). I never thought that he would do this to me. When I went there, he sexually harassed me."
'If you look in the mirror, you will see a criminal'
The actress further said, "It was a trap. I managed to escape from there. Siddiqui is the number one criminal. Whatever he is saying now is all a lie. When the Hema Committee report was released, I heard him talking. If he looks at himself in the mirror, he will see a criminal. Because of him, I have lost my dreams and mental health. Wherever I asked for help, I did not get help from anywhere."
Let us tell you that now the Special Investigation Team will investigate this case against Siddiqui.
