New Delhi: National Award winner Alia Bhatt is known for playing all kinds of characters, from bubbly to serious. Last year she worked in the romantic film Rocky and Rani Ki Prem Kahani and now she is going to show her action skills on the big screen.

Alia Bhatt is going to play a strong character in the upcoming action thriller Jigra . The actress announced the film in September last year. Today the teaser-trailer of the film is also out. 

Jigra's teaser-trailer released

The story of Jigra is about a sister who takes up arms when her brother is in trouble. She tries her best to free her brother from jail. She plays with fire, shoots bullets. There comes a time when she is even ready to cut her veins. The trailer of Jigra, the film starring Alia Bhatt who is seen in the role of Satya, is full of action and emotion. 

Alia Bhatt became Bachchan for her brother

The teaser-trailer of Jigra begins with Satya's ( Alia Bhatt ) painful story. Satya says, "God took away my mother, my father took his own life. A distant relative gave me shelter and only charged me the rent. Leave it Bhatia sahab, the story is very long. My brother has very little time." The person listening to the story says, "Then let's blow up the prison walls."

Manoj Pahwa is also playing an important role in the film. He is seen guiding Satya in the teaser-trailer. In the video, Manoj Pahwa said the dialogue, "I don't want to become Bachchan, I want to escape." To this, Alia says, "Now I want to become Bachchan."

When is the film releasing?

Alia Bhatt's Jigra is directed by Vasan Bala, who is known for the movie Peddlers. Alia is not only playing the lead role in the film, but she is also its producer. She has produced the film along with Karan Johar. Vedang Rain has played the role of Alia's brother. The film is releasing in theaters on October 11.
