The Commission's action comes after several political parties have not yet shared information with it, despite changes to their party constitutions. The Commission cited a Supreme Court petition in its Monday directive to political parties.

All parties are bound

The Commission has raised questions about the party constitutions of political parties. According to the Commission, the party constitution is a document that all political parties must implement. If they fail to comply, the Commission can intervene.

According to the Commission, all parties are obligated to provide this information. Therefore, if a political party fails to provide it within the stipulated timeframe, action may be considered against it under the established rules.
