  • Fennel: Fennel is considered very good for digestion. It helps reduce gas and bloating, which  can provide relief from acid reflux  . Chewing some fennel after eating can be beneficial.
  • Almonds: Almonds have alkaline properties that can help neutralize stomach acid. However, they should be eaten in limited quantities.
  • Apples and Pears: These fruits are also rich in fiber and are less acidic, which helps in improving digestion and reducing the symptoms of acid reflux.
  • Chamomile Tea: This tea helps naturally soothe the stomach and reduce stress, which can sometimes trigger acid reflux.
  • Basil Tea: Basil leaves also have digestive properties and  the ability to reduce acidity  . You can consume it as a tea or by chewing the leaves.
  • Water: Drinking enough water is very important. It helps to flush out acid from the food pipe and dilute stomach acid, reducing heartburn.

By including these foods in your diet and making some other lifestyle changes (such as eating small meals, not lying down immediately after eating, avoiding spicy and oily foods), you can get rid of heartburn to a great extent. However, always consult a doctor if the problem is severe.
