News Topical, Digital Desk : Avenue Supermarts announced its results for the October-December quarter of FY2026 on Saturday, January 10, 2025. Avenue Supermarts Limited (ASL), which operates the D-Mart retail chain, reported a 17.6% year-on-year increase in its standalone net profit to Rs 923 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2025, on the back of steady revenue growth and improved operating margins.
The company's standalone revenue grew 13.2% to ₹17,613 crore in the third quarter of FY26, compared to ₹15,565 crore in the same period last year. EBITDA increased 19.9% year-on-year to ₹1,481 crore, while EBITDA margin expanded to 8.4% from 7.9% a year ago.
Profit margin after tax was 5.2% in the third quarter of fiscal 2026, compared to 5.0% in the same quarter last year. Basic earnings per share (EPS) increased to ₹14.19 from ₹12.06.
For the nine months ended December 31, 2025, the company's revenue increased 14.9% to ₹49,764 crore compared to the previous year, while net profit increased 8.3% to ₹2,499 crore. EBITDA for the period was ₹4,024 crore, with an EBITDA margin of 8.1%.
On a consolidated basis, Avenue Supermarts reported revenue of ₹18,101 crore in the third quarter of fiscal 2026, up from ₹15,973 crore in the same quarter last year. Consolidated net profit increased to ₹856 crore from ₹724 crore, while EBITDA margin expanded to 8.1% from 7.6%.
For the nine-month period, consolidated revenue stood at Rs 51,137 crore, compared to Rs 44,486 crore a year ago, while net profit rose to Rs 2,313 crore, from Rs 2,157 crore earlier.
Commenting on the results, Avenue Supermarts CEO-designate Anshul Asawa said revenue growth during the quarter was partially impacted by falling prices of essential commodities, although profitability remained strong. He further added that stores two years or older recorded a 5.6% increase during the quarter.
The company added 10 stores during the third quarter of FY2026, taking its total store count to 442 as of December 31, 2025. Avenue Supermarts follows an everyday low cost and everyday low price strategy, aiming to deliver affordable value through operational and sourcing efficiencies.
