On his move, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Sunday (December 7) warned that any construction done in the name of Mughal emperor Babar would be strongly opposed.

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has commented on the matter. He stated that there is no opposition to the construction of a mosque. He added that anyone building a mosque in the name of Babar would face opposition. His statement has now made headlines.
Deputy CM targeted Akhilesh Yadav
Keshav Prasad Maurya targeted Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav. Speaking to reporters at the Circuit House, Maurya, who was in Jhansi for a review meeting, said, "After the crushing defeat in Bihar, the SP chief's mental balance has deteriorated and he has started dreaming like Mungerilal."
He said that while he had secured a few seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, his party would no longer be able to even sit in the opposition in the upcoming assembly elections. Maurya said, “The future of the Samajwadi Party already looks bleak, as the 'red caps' and net caps have disappeared from Uttar Pradesh after the Bihar election results, and now the sun is setting for the SP.”

Meanwhile, Keshav Prasad Maurya attended a review meeting related to the Intensive Revision ( SIR ) of the voter list. After visiting the nearby Pitambara Peeth in Datia, he left for Lucknow.
