News Topical, Digital Desk : Students and teachers are continuously protesting alleging irregularities in the SSC examination. On Thursday (31 July ) , many students and teachers protesting outside the DOPT office in Delhi were taken into custody. Now on Friday (1 August) also students were seen protesting at Jantar Mantar wearing black bands.

They say that the agitation will continue until transparency and stability is brought in the recruitment process. SSC 's Selection Post Phase-13 examination has now been given to a new agency Eduquity . But students allege that this is the same company which has previously been involved in controversial examinations like the Vyapam scam and which has been blacklisted by the Education Department.

What is the reason behind the students' demands and anger?

Now this same agency is going to conduct other SSC exams like CGL , in which about 30 lakh students appear. Students are asking that when it cannot conduct a small exam properly, then how will it handle a big exam? The protesting candidates also allege that the questions given in the first shift are being repeated in the second and third phases. This raises a big question on the secrecy and fairness of the exam.

Aadhaar authentication becomes a new problem

SSC has made Aadhaar card authentication compulsory. Due to this, many students were not able to fill the form and those who got the centre were barred from appearing in the exam due to fingerprint matching or system problems.

Many exams were cancelled without any information

The students are also angry that many SSC exams were cancelled without any prior notice, especially Phase-13 . The students said – we came from far away to take the exam, money was spent, time was wasted… and after reaching the centre, we came to know that the paper itself is cancelled.

Glitches and technical failures at exam centres

Many students were allotted wrong examination centres.

At some centres, the computers were malfunctioning, the mouse was not working, or the screen was going black repeatedly.

In many places the paper was stopped midway due to server crash.

Students allege that some centres were also abused - misbehaviour, attempts to silence them, and administrative negligence. This question was visible in the eyes of many candidates today. Some left coaching, some left jobs, had been preparing for many years. But in return, they got confusion, confusion and lathicharge.

Students and teachers again gathered at Jantar Mantar

Today on Friday, more than 100 students and teachers reached Jantar Mantar. They protested by tying black bands on their heads. Their demand is ...

The exam contract should be withdrawn from controversial companies like Eduquity .

The technical problems of the examination centres should be investigated and action should be taken against the culprits.

New dates should be announced for the cancelled exams and the money spent should be reimbursed.

So far no formal statement has come from SSC or the government. If a solution is not found soon, this protest movement may intensify.
