News Topical, Digital Desk : In a joint operation, the Delhi Police Crime Branch and the Rajasthan Police have arrested three dangerous robbers. The arrested accused include Baljinder Singh, his son Sarvjeet Singh, and his accomplice Surendra Singh.
All three were wanted in connection with a film-style robbery in Rajasthan's Sriganganagar district. The accused had been eluding the Delhi Police for a long time. The Delhi Police had been searching for the accused for a long time.
The accused had committed robbery by posing as fake police
According to Delhi Police, on the night of October 18th, the accused, wearing police uniforms and riding in a Gypsy with a red light, raided a man's home. They held the family hostage at gunpoint, looted the house, and fled with mobile phones and valuables. In this case, the Rajasthan Police had announced a reward of ten thousand rupees each for the three men.
Based on technical surveillance and intelligence inputs, the Delhi Police and Rajasthan Police conducted a raid in the Chander Vihar area of Delhi and arrested the main accused, Baljinder Singh. During interrogation, he revealed the names of his two accomplices, who were later arrested.
Important revelations in Delhi Police interrogation
Delhi Police investigations have revealed that Baljinder Singh has been involved in more than 52 criminal cases in various states across the country. He has previously been convicted under MCOCA and served a 17-year sentence. He is believed to have conspired with his son and associates to commit this crime. According to the police, the three accused have been handed over to the Rajasthan Police for further investigation.
