News Topical, Digital Desk : The Cyber ​​Cell of the Delhi Police Crime Branch has busted a major interstate drug syndicate. During operations in Delhi, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh, the Delhi Police arrested four smugglers and seized 531 grams of fine-quality heroin. According to the Delhi Police, the seized goods are estimated to be worth ₹3.5 crore (approximately $3.5 million) in the international market. 

Acting on a tip-off, Delhi Police arrested Surendra Kumar from the Nand Nagari area. They recovered 301 grams of heroin from him. Following this seizure, the Crime Branch registered an FIR under the NDPS Act and initiated the investigation. During interrogation, Surendra revealed his accomplice's name as Naeem. 

The team then raided Jaipur, Rajasthan, where Naeem was arrested and 120 grams of heroin was recovered from him. Subsequent investigations led to the arrest of Neeru, a resident of Nand Nagari. During interrogation, Neeru named the supplier, Nazir, a resident of Bareilly. Delhi Police apprehended Nazir from Bareilly. Delhi Police recovered 110 grams of heroin from Nazir. 

Gang network and modus operandi

According to the Delhi Police investigation, all the accused had previous criminal involvement. Lured by the prospect of easy money, they joined a drug network and began targeting young people in Delhi's urban areas, supplying drugs. The gang's supply lines stretched across Delhi, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. 

Delhi Police investigation continues 

The Delhi Police is currently interrogating the arrested suspects. They are investigating their call details, bank accounts, and digital networks. Efforts are underway with the help of the Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan police to identify other suppliers involved in this network.
