Delhi Police formed a key team to arrest the wanted accused in the theft of mobile network equipment. The team formed by Delhi Police finally arrested the cunning thief Shavez Ahmed from Khatauli in UP after a 3-day interstate operation based on technical surveillance and intelligence.
Remote radio unit and Rs 4 lakh cash recovered
According to Delhi Police, the accused used to steal remote radio unit cards and supply them in Delhi and Meerut. He kept changing his name, mobile number and address so that he would not be caught by the police. During police interrogation, the accused told in excitement that he studied in Patiala, Punjab.
Earlier he used to work at a shoe shop, later he started doing scrap business and then in the greed of making quick money, he started stealing mobile tower equipment. Delhi Police also recovered a stolen remote radio unit and Rs 4 lakh in cash from the accused.
Delhi Police is investigating the matter
According to Delhi Police, several cases are registered against accused Sehwag in different places of Delhi and Punjab. Now the police is identifying other members of the gang and searching for them. Police is investigating the whole matter. The case is being investigated. The accused will be caught soon.
