News Topical, Digital Desk : Delhi News: Delhi's Dwarka district police has arrested 71 foreign nationals during May 2025 who were living in India without a valid visa. These include 47 Bangladeshis, 17 Myanmar (Rohingya) and 07 Nigerian citizens. All of them have been sent to the detention center after the legal process and the process of their deportation has been started.

The teams of operation units and police stations of Dwarka district gathered information about these illegally staying foreign nationals and caught them by taking continuous action.

What did DCP Dwarka say?
DCP Dwarka Ankit Singh said that all these people had either entered India without visa or were staying even after the visa expired. These people were becoming a burden on the country's resources and in some cases, there was a suspicion of their involvement in suspicious activities.

According to the police, all the foreign nationals caught were presented before the FRRO (Foreigners Regional Registration Office). From there, their deportation was ordered. After which they have been sent to the detention center.

Delhi Police's appeal to the people

Dwarka Police has appealed to the local people that if any foreign national is living suspiciously around them or his identity is not clear, then they should immediately inform the police about it. 

Let us tell you that continuous search operations are being conducted against Bangladeshi intruders in Delhi and other states of the country. Delhi Police is also continuously taking action in the national capital.

Two were arrested on June 2

On June 2, the Crime Branch of Delhi Police arrested two Bangladeshi citizens from Mandavali village on charges of illegally staying in India. In this operation, Bangladeshi identity documents have been recovered from the persons arrested.
