News Topical, Digital Desk : Security arrangements are extremely tight in Delhi after the blast. Meanwhile, Delhi Police has issued an advisory for rail, metro and air passengers. Delhi Police said that due to the tight security arrangements in Delhi, passengers are advised to arrive early. Police said that one should reach the railway station at least 1 hour before the train departs, at the metro station at least 20 minutes before the journey and at the airport at least 3 hours before the flight.

Delhi Police requests cooperation from passengers

Delhi Police said this would help passengers avoid last-minute inconveniences. They requested passenger cooperation for a safe and smooth journey.

What has been revealed so far in the Delhi blast?

  • The terrorist driving the car in the Delhi blast case has been identified. Delhi Police sources have stated that DNA analysis of samples collected from the Red Fort blast site has confirmed that Umar Un Nabi was driving the car in which the explosion occurred. 
  • According to police sources, DNA samples from Umar Nabi's mother and brother were collected and sent to the forensic laboratory at AIIMS, where they were matched with the remains of the bodies kept at Delhi's Lok Nayak Hospital. A piece of his leg was found near the steering wheel of the I-20 car that was recovered after the blast. 
  • Later, investigating officers matched his DNA with that of Umar. The DNA test confirmed that the man who carried out the Red Fort bombings was Umar un Nabi.
  • Another revelation has emerged in this case. According to Delhi Police sources, Dr. Muzammil, Dr. Adeel, and Shaheen, accused in the Red Fort blast, collected approximately 20 lakh rupees, which was handed over to Umar. There was also a dispute between Umar and Muzammil over the money. They later purchased several quintals of NPK fertilizer worth approximately 3 lakh rupees from Gurugram, Nuh, and surrounding areas in Haryana, which was used to make the IED. 
  • Sources also revealed that Umar had created the Signal app for two to four members of this group. Police sources stated that before carrying out the blast near the Red Fort, terrorist Umar visited a mosque. He stayed there for more than 10 minutes, after which he headed towards the Red Fort.
  • On November 10th, at around 7 p.m., Omar blew up his entire vehicle, including himself. The blast occurred during heavy traffic. Consequently, the explosion in Omar's vehicle engulfed several nearby vehicles. The death toll in this terrorist attack has now risen to 12.
