News Topical, Digital Desk : The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Hyderabad, Telangana has registered a case of disproportionate assets against TGSPDCL Assistant Divisional Engineer (ADE) Ambedkar Erugu. ACB raids have recovered cash worth crores of rupees from his and his relatives' houses.
Company formed on 10 acres of land
During the raid conducted by the ACB team, 2.18 crore rupees in cash, one flat, one G+5 building, one company on 10 acres of land, 6 plots, one farmland papers were found. Also, two four wheelers, gold jewellery and money deposited in the bank were found.
The accused engineer was produced in court
Officials said, "The search revealed that the engineer had acquired these movable and immovable properties by misusing his position. The search is still on." The market value of the properties is much higher than their official value. The accused engineer was produced in court and sent to judicial custody.
Second biggest case of disproportionate assets
Let us tell you that this is the second big case of disproportionate assets caught by the ACB in less than a month. On August 19, the ACB had detected assets worth more than Rs 5 crore during a raid on a tehsildar. The officials searched seven places linked to Bandi Nageswara Rao, tehsildar of Warangal Fort Mandal in Warangal district.
