News Topical, Digital Desk : The police have taken strict measures to stop illegal mining and related transportation. A new system is being implemented to completely control the movement of dumpers, under which each dumper will operate within a designated route and code.

According to the new system, each dumper will be required to have a unique code and route number. This code will identify the vehicle and provide immediate information about the specific work the dumper is engaged in and the route it is permitted to travel. Any vehicle found without a code or traveling off the designated route will face action.

Police officials believe that this system will effectively control the dumpers that have been operating without any supervision until now. This system will play a crucial role in curbing illegal mining and transportation at night. Pickets are being set up on major routes to ensure strict enforcement. Regular inspections of dumpers will be conducted here, and action will be taken against those violating the rules.

SSP Dr. Kaustubh says that this new system will curb illegal mining and increase transparency. It will also help the administration ensure that mining operations are conducted in accordance with established regulations. Legal action will be taken against dumper drivers and operators who violate the rules.

Electric pole broken due to collision with dumper, major accident averted

A dumper loaded with gravel lost control and collided with an electric pole near Jogiakole village on Tuesday morning. The impact was so powerful that the pole and wires broke and fell to the ground. Fortunately, the power supply was out at the time, otherwise a major accident could have occurred.

At around 6 a.m., a dumper traveling from Bhiti Rawat to Harpur reached Jogiakole, where culvert construction was underway. Half the road was blocked, so the dumper driver was trying to maneuver the vehicle from the side. Suddenly, a thick tree branch fell on the vehicle, causing the driver to lose control and the dumper crashed directly into an electric pole.

The pole broke and fell after the collision, disrupting the area's power supply. Chaos reigned at the scene, though no injuries were reported. Junior Engineer (JE) of the Electricity Department, R.K. Singh, stated that the dumper driver's negligence was evident and a case will be filed against him.
