News Topical, Digital Desk : With the expansion of the Yogi Adityanath cabinet in Uttar Pradesh, the countdown to streamlining the BJP organization has begun. This will all happen in April.

After intense brainstorming between the BJP's state and top leadership from Lucknow to Delhi over the past fortnight, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's approval of the changes and expansion is now required. BJP Uttar Pradesh President and Union Minister Pankaj Chaudhary is scheduled to meet with the Prime Minister in Delhi on Friday. Following his approval, preparations will begin in Lucknow. The cabinet expansion is likely to take place on Sunday or Monday. Following this, a list of new office bearers will be released.

The equations were further discussed in Delhi on Thursday. National Organization General Secretary BL Santosh met with State President Pankaj Chaudhary and State Organization General Secretary Dharampal Singh to discuss all aspects. Prior to this, they discussed cabinet and organizational expansion with Amit Shah, considered the BJP's think tank.

The Bharatiya Janata Party wants to correct the political dynamics of the organization and government in Uttar Pradesh before the 2027 assembly elections. Now, the BJP is preparing to make major changes in Uttar Pradesh, including a reshuffle within the Yogi Adityanath cabinet and the state organization.

Following a meeting between BJP state president Pankaj Chaudhary and organization general secretary Dharampal Singh with the party's top leadership, the cabinet expansion and changes to the BJP Uttar Pradesh organization will take place. The BJP wants to accommodate key workers and leaders in the municipal commissions and boards, and previously nominated councilors and municipal council members.

The departure of most leaders from the organization is certain

BJP National President Nitin Naveen held a meeting regarding Uttar Pradesh with Organization General Secretary BM Santosh, BJP UP President Pankaj Chaudhary, Organization Minister Dharampal Singh, and National Organization Minister in charge of Uttar Pradesh, Vinod Tawde. Following this, the new team for the UP BJP organization was finalized. Most of the leaders holding the positions of General Secretary and Vice President have been removed. The appointment of a new president of the Youth Front and a list of spokespersons were also discussed.

Much discussion about cabinet expansion

With the names of regional presidents and state officials being finalized, adjustments are to be made in corporations, commissions and boards, but the most discussion in political circles is about cabinet expansion. Most changes are likely to happen in the ministers with independent charge. There has been brainstorming on removing three to four faces and bringing them into the organization. If we look at the picture of the last two months, RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat has held meetings in Lucknow with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, State President Pankaj Chaudhary, Organization General Secretary Dharampal Singh, besides Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak.

All exercises will be completed in April itself

Following this, a meeting of senior RSS and BJP officials was held at Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath  's residence. National General Secretary Vinod Tawde spent two days in Lucknow, meeting with the state president and state general secretary of the organization to discuss all points. He also met with both deputy chief ministers separately. The immediate subsequent meeting in Delhi makes it clear that the party will complete all its preparations in April.

There will be a major change in the cabinet

It is believed that there will be 12-14 changes in the Yogi Adityanath cabinet. The organization and top leadership have reviewed the ministers' four-year performance and prepared a roadmap for their work in the field. Following the assessment of the ministers' performance, non- or underperforming ministers may be removed from the cabinet and replaced by new faces.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also informed the top leadership of his preferences and dislikes for the cabinet expansion. The Chief Minister's preferred candidates may be appointed ministers.

Six ministerial positions are currently vacant in Uttar Pradesh, and six could be replaced. The BJP could attempt to balance the political equation for 2027 through this reshuffle.
