News Topical, Digital Desk : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday directed police officers to use artificial intelligence (AI) technology to destroy conversion gangs being funded from abroad. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on the concluding day of the 'Police Manthan' Senior Police Officers Conference-2025 on Sunday, directed senior police officers to keep a strict vigil especially on social media and cyber crime.
According to an official statement, Yogi also directed a thorough analysis of the new dimensions of terrorist activities along the borders with Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal and strengthened surveillance. Describing religious conversion as a serious challenge, the Chief Minister said that incidents like Balrampur indicate that such efforts are being carried out in an organized manner.
He directed further strengthening the effective use of artificial intelligence, financial transactions, technical analysis, and modern resources to prevent "internationally funded religious conversion rackets." Yogi called for a "zero tolerance" policy against those who disrupt law and order, ethnic and religious harmony on social media. He urged strict action against organized gangs involved in cow smuggling and religious conversions.
Take immediate action on objectionable content: CM Yogi
Expressing deep concern over challenges such as misuse of social media, propaganda, 'deepfakes', 'dark web', cyber crime and terrorist networks, CM Yogi Adityanath directed the police and intelligence agencies to take immediate cognizance of any objectionable content on social media that affects law and order, caste and religious harmony and ensure swift and strict action. According to the statement, the Chief Minister clarified that no leniency should be shown towards elements who divide the society in the name of caste or religion, put pressure on the police or spread anarchy.
Some anti-social elements are spreading anarchy – CM Yogi
He said that some anti-social elements are misusing the names of great men and trying to spread anarchy by forming new organizations. He directed the police to thoroughly investigate the background of such organizations, dismantle their networks, and ensure strict action within the ambit of the law.
