News Topical, Digital Desk : UP News: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached Ghaziabad on a one-day visit on Thursday. He held a meeting with public representatives and senior officials of the district at Kailash Mansarovar Bhawan in Indirapuram and reviewed the schemes and works of more than 20 departments.

During this, the Chief Minister gave clear instructions to the officers, especially regarding the preparations for the upcoming Kanwar Yatra and the Hindon River revival scheme, that the public should not face any problems. He clearly said that it is the responsibility of the administration to ensure that the Kanwariyas get complete security and facilities during the journey.

The Chief Minister said that the number of Kanwariyas is high on Ghaziabad Delhi Border, Muradnagar, Teela Mod, Delhi-Meerut Expressway, NH-9 and NH-24. In such a situation, arrangements like watch towers, road repair, cleanliness, water, medical, CCTV cameras, toilets and barricading should be completed on time on these routes.

The Chief Minister said that there should be provision of dustbins, sweepers, fire extinguishers and plastic free material in every Kanwar camp. He also stressed on making the Kanwar Yatra eco-friendly and directed the administration not to use disposable plastic in the camps. He also directed to keep meat and liquor shops closed on the Yatra routes, install public address systems and make special arrangements at railway gates.

In the meeting, the Chief Minister also took a report from the officials regarding the cleaning and revival of the Hindon river. He said that the drains falling into the river should be stopped, industrial waste should be controlled and the quality of water should be improved. He also said that the revival of Hindon should be linked to the Namami Gange project so that it can be kept clean and alive permanently.

CM Yogi launched the initiative portal

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also launched the 'Pahal' portal of Ghaziabad Development Authority. This portal is a digital facility for the common people through which people can now download the registry payment papers of their plot or house, change the name etc. from their mobile or computer sitting at home.

So far, GDA has received revenue of more than 161 crores from this portal and works like changing names of more than 80 people have been completed online. The Chief Minister said that this facility will increase transparency and people will not have to make rounds of government offices.

CM Yogi's special focus on rural water supply pension

CM Yogi reviewed the schemes of more than 20 departments like health, education, electricity, rural development, women and child welfare, animal husbandry, agriculture and irrigation and directed that every scheme should be completed on time and with quality. He also gave special focus on rural water supply, pension and urban facilities. The Chief Minister said that the officers should work with full honesty so that the public gets the full benefit of the schemes.
