News Topical, Digital Desk : Describing Russian President Vladimir Putin's recent visit to India as positive, China has said that strong trilateral cooperation between India, China and Russia, being three emerging economies and important powers of the global South, is essential for regional and global stability.

Beijing also emphasized Putin's statement that "India and China are our closest friends" and described it as a sign of growing trust between the three countries.

China wants to further develop relations with India

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiaqun said it wants to advance relations with India from a "strategic and long-term perspective", especially in view of the gradual restoration of ties after the 2020 tensions in eastern Ladakh.
