News Topical, Digital Desk : Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai on Saturday (July 19) inaugurated the newly built unit of Aspire Pharmaceuticals located in Sector-05 of Nava Raipur. On this occasion, he congratulated the management and visited the production unit and observed the entire process of drug manufacturing.

Chief Minister Sai said, “The dream of building this unit was seen in view of the shortage of medicines during the difficult period of Covid and today it has come true. When the whole world was struggling with the crisis of Covid, India set an example by developing indigenous vaccine. The launch of the pharmaceuticals unit is an important step towards the industrial development of the state.”

New industrial policy is attracting investors- Vishnu Dev Sai

He said, "Chhattisgarh's new industrial policy is attracting investors and in the last seven-eight months, investment proposals worth more than Rs 6 lakh crore have been received, out of which work has started on many projects. The state government is working to generate maximum employment through industrial units and special incentives are also being given to such units."

CM Sai praised the contribution of Raman Singh

CM Sai also said that Chhattisgarh has entered its silver jubilee year today, and the contribution of former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh in the development that has taken place in these 25 years is incomparable. He said, "Dr. Raman Singh not only eliminated hunger from the state, but also laid a solid foundation in the field of health, education and infrastructure."

Mentioning the achievements in the health sector, the Chief Minister said that at the time of formation of the state, there was only one medical college in the state, whereas today 15 medical colleges are operating in the state. People are getting free treatment in the state through Ayushman Bharat Yojana and Chief Minister Special Health Assistance Scheme. 

Continuous expansion of health facilities in the state - Vishnu Dev Sai

He said, "In the last one and a half year, I have witnessed the inauguration of more than six specialist hospitals, which shows that health facilities are continuously expanding in the state. Our Prime Minister Modi believes that people should not fall ill, they should remain healthy, and in accordance with this concept of his, people are getting health through wellness centers."

Vision document of 'Developed Chhattisgarh 2047' is ready- CM

Chief Minister Sai further said that the government has prepared a vision document under the concept of 'Developed Chhattisgarh 2047'. At present, the state's Gross State Product (GSDP) is Rs 5 lakh crore, which has been targeted to reach Rs 10 lakh crore by 2030 and Rs 75 lakh crore by 2047, and this will be possible only with the cooperation of the people of the state.

CM praised advanced technologies

CM Sai visited Aspire Pharmaceuticals on this occasion and appreciated the advanced technologies. He said that this unit is fully automated, where various types of medicines like tablets, syrups, ointments and creams will be manufactured. He said that the expansion of this unit will provide employment to a large number of local youths.

Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that this is an important and inspiring beginning in the pharmaceutical sector of the state. He said, "India has made its special identity in this field and during the Covid period, the whole world realized the importance of medicines and medical resources. Developed countries like America and Europe also expressed confidence in India's pharma capabilities during that period. Recently, a vision document has been released, taking steps towards realizing the concept of developed Chhattisgarh, which will take the state to new heights in the coming years.

The Assembly Speaker further said, "Nava Raipur has a central role in the industrial development of the state, this area is not only suitable for industrial investment but is also very convenient from the point of view of logistics due to its connectivity to all major routes." Dr. Singh congratulated the team of Aspire Pharmaceuticals for this new beginning and said that this unit will give new impetus to the development of Nava Raipur.

On this occasion, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade, Pawan Sai, MLA Guru Khuswant Saheb, MLA Motilal Sahu, MLA Lalit Chandrakar, MLA Sampat Agarwal, MLA Anuj Sharma, CGMSC Chairman Deepak Mhaske, CSIDC Chairman Rajiv Agarwal, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board Chairman Neelu Sharma, Minority Commission Chairman Amarjeet Chhabra, Civil Supplies Corporation Chairman Sanjay Srivastava, Komalchand Chopra from Aspire Pharmaceuticals, Anil Deshlahra and Ujjwal Deepak along with a large number of people were present.
