We all fall asleep tired at night, but this is a normal process of our will and body. In such a situation, if someone says that there are children in the world who can function normally only in the presence of sunlight, it would sound like a fairy tale. However, this is not a fairy tale, but the truth of two real brothers living in Balochistan, Pakistan, whom even doctors have not been able to understand. These two brothers suffer from a disease that has no parallel anywhere else on Earth. This is why doctors and scientists call them "Solar Kids." 

What disease is this after all?

Two brothers living in a small village in Balochistan play, study, run, and have fun like normal children during the day. But as evening approaches and the sunlight fades, something very strange happens. Their energy suddenly begins to wane, their limbs become limp, they almost stop moving. They even have difficulty speaking, and by nightfall, they become completely inactive, as if someone has switched off their bodies. Their parents say that they are unable to move at all at night. If they are outside, family members have to pick them up and bring them home. 

Why are they called Solar Boys?

These two are normal and active only during the day, when the sun is shining. As soon as the sunlight fades, their energy is sapped. Their bodies behave as if they are receiving solar energy. Although doctors have clearly stated that this is not due to the light, but rather the effect of an internal disease, their bodies' day-night response is so unique that people have come to call them "Solar Kids." 

Is only one family in the world suffering from this disease?

According to doctors and scientists, a case like this has never been found anywhere else in the world. Experts believe that this disease may be caused by a genetic mutation, a nervous system disorder, or a serious deficiency in the body's energy-producing system. However, no one has yet been able to find the exact cause. Blood samples have been sent to major laboratories around the world, and even soil and air have been tested, but the results are still unclear. Doctors have suggested a dopamine medication as the cure. By administering this medication to these two brothers, they have been kept active even at night. After taking this medication, both brothers were able to get up and walk on their own at night.
